Christine Peters, LCSW

Christine has over 10 years of therapy experience, utilizing Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and other approaches. She received her degree in Social Work from New York University and is also a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. She has experience working with children, adolescents, and adults for a variety of issues. These include depression, anxiety, phobias, panic, anger, stress, insomnia, ADHD, autism, developmental delays, and work/home/school issues. She approaches therapy with the belief she is a guide to help others utilize their own strengths to overcome stressors and problems. She believes it is very important for the people she works with to discover how they can be their own best therapist, and will teach them the skills they need to achieve this. She offers a collaborative, warm, compassionate, and safe environment. Some people have specific goals and are looking for a short-term pointed interventions, while others seek longer-term support to deal with some of life’s inevitable ups and downs (change is hard!). Christine will tailor her approach to achieve either of these preferences.
